After several years of preliminary technical and environmental studies and local stakeholder consultation, RTE and territorial actors reached an agreement in December 2013 on the preferred corridor for the 225 kV connection and the location of the new onshore substation at Prinquiau to connect the Saint-Nazaire offshore wind farm to the existing transmission network via a 33 km submarine and 27 km underground link.
