Iberdrola inaugurated the dedicated operations and maintenance base for the 496 MW Saint-Brieuc offshore wind farm on 3 February 2025 at Binic-Établesm in Côtes-d'Armor, Brittany. The base controls and manages electricity production and maintenance of the wind farm during its operational life and will house approximately 80 staff supporting day-to-day O&M of the 62 Siemens Gamesa SG 8.0-167 DD turbines. Marine operations will initially be coordinated with the service operation vessel Goëlo Enabler, based at Saint-Malo Port. In a second phase, vessel operations will transfer to Armor Port in Saint-Quay-Portrieux, where Iberdrola is funding port development works to host the project's permanent maintenance fleet. The Binic facility consolidates Saint-Brieuc's long-term shore-based maintenance operations and marks the transition from the project's construction-phase support arrangements to a steady-state operational footprint roughly nine months after full commercial commissioning on 28 May 2024.
