On 18 April 2017, the Préfet des Côtes-d'Armor signed Arrêté préfectoral n°1 declaring as a Déclaration d'Utilité Publique (DUP) the works for the RTE Doberie 225 kV substation at Hénansal and the associated onshore + submarine grid-connection corridor linking the Saint-Brieuc offshore wind farm to the Doberie substation. The DUP under the Code de l'expropriation pour cause d'utilité publique is the project-wide consent for the onshore export corridor segment (the analogue of the German Land Planfeststellungsbeschluss under EnWG §43); it covers the approximately 33 km submarine link, the 16 km underground link, and the new 225 kV substation. The arrêté was part of a single-day administrative package of nine arrêtés préfectoraux all signed on 18 April 2017 by the Préfet des Côtes-d'Armor.
