Description
Prysmian Group delivered a turnkey EPCI cable package for the Provence Grand Large floating offshore wind farm, covering design, manufacture, installation and commissioning of the dynamic cable system and associated accessories. The scope included dynamic inter-array cables (including flying leads) connecting the floating turbines, plus the export connection to shore via a submarine cable and an underground cable to the Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône onshore connection station operated by RTE. Prysmian described the engagement as its first turnkey project for a dynamic cable system for a floating offshore wind farm; the contract was awarded in April 2019, with a pre-service contract signed in October 2019, and the main contract signed on 18 December 2020.
