The 25 MW Provence Grand Large floating offshore wind farm, developed by EDF, Enbridge, and CPP Investments, was officially inaugurated on 2 October 2025 after having been in operation for several months supplying electricity to the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region. The project, France’s first floating offshore wind farm, comprises three Siemens Gamesa 8 MW turbines on tensioned line floats designed by IFP Energies Nouvelles and SBM Offshore and had started delivering power to the grid in November 2024 before being fully commissioned in June 2025.
