Offshore construction for Provence Grand Large started in August 2023, when foundation (TLP floater + suction-anchor mooring) installation works began at the project site approximately 17 km off Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône. Installation of the anchoring system and hook-up of the three floaters was managed by SBM Offshore using its construction vessel Normand Installer, with foundation installation completing in October 2023 (per PGL project history page). This was followed by turbine installation (September 2023 start, October 2023 complete) and inter-array cable installation by Asso.subsea (September 2023).
