The Provence Grand Large floating offshore wind farm began delivering its first renewable electricity to the French national grid in November 2024. The 25 MW pilot project, comprising three Siemens Gamesa 8 MW-class turbines on tensioned-line floating foundations 17 km off Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône, started exporting power after completion of turbine installation in 2023.
