Deutsche Windtechnik was contracted by Eneco to perform major component exchange activities at the Prinses Amaliawindpark (Princess Amalia offshore wind farm), a 120 MW project located around 23 km off IJmuiden in the Netherlands. The contract was reported as running for five years starting in August 2022 and focused on executing offshore campaigns to replace large wind turbine components. Under the agreement, Deutsche Windtechnik provided specialised personnel and the dedicated tooling and equipment required for heavy exchanges offshore. The scope included preparation for the work at sea, dismantling and removal of failed or end-of-life components, installation of replacement components, subsequent testing, and project reporting. The work was planned as one or two jack-up-vessel-supported campaigns per year and covered components such as gearboxes, generators, and (if required) rotor blades; the first deployment was scheduled for mid-August 2022 to replace rotor blades on one of the Vestas V80 turbines. The sources did not disclose contract value or the full list of turbine positions covered, but the work was explicitly linked to the wind farm’s Vestas V80 fleet and to repeated campaigns across the contract term.
