On 15 May 2024, the consortium of Elicio and BayWa r.e. developing the Pennavel floating offshore wind farm off south Brittany secured a long-term Contract for Difference-type revenue support by winning France’s AO5 floating wind tender with an offer of EUR 86.45/MWh. This award, which makes Pennavel the first commercial-scale floating offshore wind farm in the world to receive such long-term CfD support, underpins project revenues for the planned 250 MW wind farm selected by the French state in May 2024.
