Geofizyka Toruń, a Polish geophysical services company with experience in European and global markets, was engaged by ORLEN Neptun to conduct the 2D seismic survey campaign for the Baltic West offshore wind project. The Baltic West cluster comprises four Phase II concessions on the Odra Bank (Ławica Odrzańska) near Świnoujście, of which Orlen Neptun IV in area 14.E.4 is the largest single lot at approximately 1,204 MW and 150 km². The campaign was announced as starting on 30 April 2026 and is expected to last several months. The scope covers acquisition of approximately 3,000 kilometres of high-resolution multi-channel 2D seismic lines across the Baltic West licence areas, investigating the geological structure of the seabed to a depth of around 100 metres. The survey data will feed directly into subsequent geotechnical campaigns and into detailed design analyses for the four constituent Baltic West projects, including Orlen Neptun IV. The contract forms part of ORLEN Neptun's strategy to rely on Polish local-content suppliers at the early site-investigation stage of its Odra Bank developments, mirroring the consortium model previously used on the more advanced Baltic East project where Geofizyka Toruń was also engaged.
