RWE and French renewable energy developer VALOREM signed a partnership agreement to jointly bid for the AO7 bottom-fixed offshore wind farm off Île d’Oléron, a roughly 1,000 MW project located about 40 kilometres from the island within a 180 km² area at around 60 metres water depth. The partners agreed to pool their offshore wind and local development expertise to prepare a competitive bid and co-invest as project developers for the Oléron 1 site, with commissioning targeted for 2032–2033 under the French tender timetable.
