TNO provided measurement-location services for the Offshore Windpark Egmond aan Zee (OWEZ) offshore wind farm as part of its Offshore Wind measurement programme. The TNO measurement location page described OWEZ as the Netherlands’ first large offshore wind farm, located 10–18 km off the coast near Egmond aan Zee, and indicated that operational data from the wind farm could be accessed via a dedicated data download workflow. TNO’s role covered the monitoring and data-handling processes needed to support reliable use of the measurement dataset. The page specified that measurement failures could occur during data acquisition and that the measured data were therefore checked for errors to prevent contamination of the database. Data validation was described as a two-step process: automated checks by the measurement computer (including sensor connectivity and signal threshold checks) followed by daily manual review for deviations. Data flagged as invalid were withheld from user downloads, ensuring that end users retrieved only validated datasets. This scope positioned TNO as a third-party monitoring and data platform interface for OWEZ-related measurement information, supporting ongoing inspection/monitoring needs through structured data validation and controlled dissemination of verified operational measurements for analysis and reporting purposes.
