Fugro began offshore geotechnical fieldwork on the Nederwiek (noord) wind farm sites II and III in February 2024, under the two investigation contracts awarded by RVO in August 2023. The campaign covered roughly 600 km² and was executed by Fugro's specialised fleet of geotechnical vessels, including the SEACALF Mk V Deepdrive for seabed cone penetration testing and the WISON Mk V Ecodrive for downhole sampling and CPTs. Samples were processed in Fugro's UK and Belgian laboratories, with data delivered via Fugro's VirGeo cloud platform to support preliminary engineering design and the future tender for the Nederwiek II site. Survey deliverables — including the integrated ground model by TNO-Deltares and Arup, NWII&III morphodynamics and scour reports, and UXO desk studies — had been published by RVO by November 2024 (constraints_mapped milestone).
