On 16 September 2025 (Budget Day), the Minister of Climate Policy and Green Growth presented the Offshore Wind Energy Action Plan in anticipation of possible lack of applications in the Nederwiek I-A permit round. The plan introduces measures to financially support the construction of new offshore wind farms and to stimulate demand for offshore wind electricity, forming a new policy framework that will apply to Nederwiek I-A and subsequent tenders.
