On 16 January 2025, the Dutch Ministry of Climate and Green Growth published the draft Ministerial Order for Nederwiek Wind Farm Site I-A under the Offshore Wind Energy Act. The draft regulation confirms that the permit for the site will be granted via a comparative test with a financial bid, following an examination of market conditions and consultation with the Minister of Finance, to encourage bids that address ecological and system-integration goals while allowing any excess profits to accrue to society.
