The Dutch Ministry of Climate and Green Growth, via Bureau Energieprojecten, issued the final Wind Farm Site Decision (kavelbesluit) for Nederwiek (zuid) kavel I-A, authorising development of a circa 1 GW offshore wind farm about 95 km off the North Holland coast; the decision was published on 16 May 2025, made available for appeal until 27 June 2025, and became irrevocable on 28 June 2025 after no appeals were lodged.
