In January 2022, the Net op zee Nederwiek 2 project entered the ‘Voornemen en participatie’ phase, initiating formal public participation and stakeholder engagement on the proposed offshore grid connection that will transport electricity from the Nederwiek wind energy area, including the future Nederwiek II wind farm site, to the Maasvlakte onshore grid.
