In 2021, the overall project for four floating wind farms Narbonnaise 1 & 2 and Golfe de Fos 1 & 2, including their shared grid connection, was submitted to a formal public debate organised under the Commission Nationale du Débat Public (CNDP), with RTE participating as the transmission project promoter. The consultation gathered public and stakeholder input on the offshore zones and the onshore and offshore connection options for the Narbonnaise area in Occitanie, which will ultimately serve both the initial AO6 Narbonnaise park and the future AO9 Narbonnaise 2 extension.
