On 27 November 2019, the Scottish Ministers issued the Decision Notice granting Section 36 consent under the Electricity Act 1989 for the Telford Offshore Wind Farm, the third and final wind farm in the Moray East cluster in the Outer Moray Firth (alongside Stevenson and MacColl, both consented earlier on 14 and 19 March 2014). The Telford grant was issued together with the Environmental Impact Assessment Consent Decision and Appropriate Assessment for Moray East. The three Section 36 grants for Stevenson, MacColl and Telford together authorise the full 950 MW Moray East project (100 turbines). The companion Aberdeenshire Council onshore TCPS planning permission for the cable corridor and New Deer substation is recorded as a separate other_permit_awarded event.
