Iv provided detailed engineering and design support for TenneT’s 2 GW offshore grid programme in the Dutch North Sea, working for the GE‑Seatrium Consortium (GSC). Iv’s scope covered engineering for the IJmuiden Ver Gamma offshore converter platform, which forms part of the standardised 2 GW platform series (alongside IJmuiden Ver Beta and Nederwiek platforms) that will connect offshore wind generation to the Dutch onshore high-voltage grid using 525 kV direct-current technology. The work comprised detailed engineering of both the topsides and the jacket substructure, with a focus on creating practical, buildable solutions that meet offshore structural requirements and enable maintainable, future-proof operation. Iv also supported joint procurement activities for platform equipment and auxiliary systems, coordinating across multiple partners and suppliers. The IJmuiden Ver Gamma platform is the shared offshore grid connection referenced for the IJmuiden Ver Gamma-A and Gamma-B wind farm sites (each ~1 GW), enabling both sites to connect to one 2 GW offshore energy platform for export to shore and onward integration into the national grid.
