On 16 January 2025, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) published the draft Ministerial Order for IJmuiden Ver Site Gamma-B, setting out the tender procedure and rules for awarding the permit to construct and operate a 1 GW offshore wind farm. The order, issued under the Offshore Wind Energy Act, confirms that the Gamma-B permit will be allocated via a comparative test with a financial bid and reflects the split of the original 2 GW Gamma site into two 1 GW lots, Gamma-A and Gamma-B.
