DELAYED +6yr (May 2026): No evidence that IJmuiden Ver Gamma-B offshore construction has started; the site is pre-tender with applications only expected to close in Dec 2026 and permits/subsidy decisions expected in Q1 2027. RVO states the Gamma-A/B wind farms are expected to start generating energy from 2032, implying offshore build cannot have started in 2024 and is more plausibly around 2030. --- TenneT plans to start construction in 2024 on the Net op zee IJmuiden Ver Gamma grid connection, which will transport electricity from the IJmuiden Ver Gamma wind area (including the Gamma-A and Gamma-B sites) to the Maasvlakte converter station and into the Dutch high-voltage grid. This marks the beginning of offshore and associated works needed for the future 2 GW connection serving the IJmuiden Ver Gamma wind farms.
