About 150 km of 66 kV aluminium core inter-array cables and accessories for Hollandse Kust Zuid 1 & 2.
B.V. Twentsche Kabelfabriek (TKF), a subsidiary of TKH Group, was contracted by Vattenfall to manufacture and supply part of the 66 kV inter-array cable system for the Hollandse Kust Zuid (HKZ) 1–4 offshore wind farm in the Dutch North Sea. TKF’s package covered the HKZ 1 & 2 sites and comprised both the submarine inter-array cables and the associated cable system accessories required for connection and integration within the infield electrical network. The supplied scope was described as about 150 km of 66 kV aluminium-core inter-array cables together with accessories. The inter-array system links approximately 140 Siemens Gamesa 11 MW-class wind turbines to the project’s offshore high-voltage stations, enabling collection of generated power across the wind farm. Manufacturing was stated to take place at TKF’s facilities in Lochem and Haaksbergen in the Netherlands, with delivery expected in 2022. This contract supported the construction phase of HKZ and formed part of Vattenfall’s procurement strategy to equip the project with 66 kV array infrastructure. Installation and cable laying activities for the wind farm were stated to be scheduled during 2022–2023 under the overall project delivery programme.
