Swire Blue Ocean was identified as the contractor selected to install the wind turbines for the Hollandse Kust Zuid (HKZ) offshore wind farm in the Dutch North Sea. The installation scope was described as being executed using Pacific Osprey, Swire Blue Ocean’s flagship wind farm installation vessel, indicating responsibility for offshore turbine transport, lifting, installation and associated commissioning activities. The HKZ project was developed by Vattenfall and built out across the Hollandse Kust (zuid) wind farm zone sites I–IV, using 139 large offshore wind turbines. Swire Blue Ocean’s role related specifically to the turbine installation work package, supporting the construction programme that culminated in turbine installation completion in 2023 and the wind farm entering operations thereafter. As captured for the project supply-chain record, this role is treated as full-scope turbine installation for Hollandse Kust Zuid (139 turbines). The sources linked the installation approach to the use of a dedicated installation jack-up vessel, consistent with industry practice for next-generation turbine sizes, and positioned the contractor’s scope within the overall construction delivery model alongside separate contracts for foundations, array cables and grid connection infrastructure.
