Muehlhan Wind Service (MWS) signed an EPC contract with Siemens Gamesa to deliver mechanical and electrical pre-assembly services for the Hollandse Kust Zuid (HKZ) offshore wind farm in the Netherlands. The scope covered pre-assembly work for 140 Siemens Gamesa 11 MW wind turbines and was structured to support each phase of the project. Under the contract, MWS was responsible for the full pre-assembly scope, including all crane and lifting operations and the ground transportation of major turbine components. This included handling and transporting nacelles, blades and towers as required to prepare the turbines for subsequent offshore installation activities. The work was to be executed at the Port of Rotterdam, establishing a logistics and pre-assembly hub close to the project’s offshore installation campaign. According to the announcement, the pre-assembly programme was scheduled to begin in January 2022, aligning with the broader construction schedule for the HKZ wind farm and enabling phased delivery of prepared turbine sets for installation offshore.
