On 22 September 2020, Van Oord, in consortium with Hellenic Cables, started installing the four 220 kV AC export cables for the Hollandse Kust (zuid) grid connection by pulling the first cable ashore at Maasvlakte and beginning offshore burial to connect the future HKZ Alpha and Beta offshore platforms to the Dutch onshore grid.
