Research for Hollandse Kust (west) Site VIII, a 0.7 GW project in the southern part of the HKW zone, is being carried out via the Investigation of Offshore Wind Energy Landfall Options 2031-2040 (VAWOZ 2031-2040) programme. This work assesses feasible landfall options and available grid connection capacity in the North Sea Canal Area, with the Dutch Government expected to decide on the final planning for the VAWOZ programme in 2026.
