Vestas received a firm order to supply wind turbines for the OranjeWind offshore wind project (formerly Hollandse Kust West VII), located about 53 km off the coast of IJmuiden in the Dutch North Sea. Under the order, Vestas will provide 53 V236-15.0 MW wind turbine generator units for the 795 MW wind farm. The scope covered Vestas’ turbine supply package, including manufacturing and delivery of the turbines, and commissioning of the units as part of the project’s construction phase. The sources stated that wind turbine installation at the site was expected to commence in 2027, aligning the delivery and commissioning activities with the offshore installation schedule. In addition to the supply and commissioning scope, Vestas was also contracted for operations and maintenance support: the company was to service the turbines under a comprehensive five-year service agreement after completion, followed by a longer-term operational support agreement. This combined supply, commissioning, and service scope positioned Vestas as the turbine OEM responsible for both construction-phase delivery and early-life O&M of the full turbine fleet on OranjeWind, supporting the project’s planned commissioning in early 2028.
