TKF will supply/provide the inter-array cables; 114 km of inter-array cables referenced for the project
TKF (Twentsche Kabelfabriek) was selected to supply the inter-array (inner-array) submarine cable system for the OranjeWind offshore wind farm (Hollandse Kust (west) Site VII) offshore the Netherlands. The project, located about 53 km off the coast near IJmuiden, comprises 53 wind turbine foundations connected electrically to the offshore substation via the inter-array cable network. Multiple project updates stated that TKF would provide the inter-array cables for OranjeWind. In later contracting and execution reporting, the inter-array scope was described as 114 km of inter-array cables to be transported and installed offshore, indicating the approximate total length of array cables to be supplied for the wind farm’s collection system. The inter-array cable system forms part of the construction-phase electrical balance-of-plant and is intended to connect all turbine positions to the offshore substation in the Dutch North Sea. While TKF was identified as the cable supplier, separate sources described installation activities being undertaken by an offshore installation contractor. No contract value, currency, or detailed technical parameters (such as operating voltage) were stated in the cited sources for TKF’s supply scope. The scope is therefore recorded as manufacture and supply of the full inter-array cable package for the project.
