Sif Holding was contracted to manufacture and supply the monopile foundations for the 795 MW OranjeWind offshore wind farm (Hollandse Kust West VII), located about 53 km off IJmuiden in the Dutch North Sea. The scope covered 53 TP-less monopile foundations with an aggregate steel weight of approximately 76 kilotons, aligned with the project’s configuration of 53 wind turbines installed on monopiles. In addition to the monopile primary structures, the same contract included the supply of associated secondary steel items that are installed offshore after the monopiles are installed. These components were described as ladders, boat moorings, access platforms, and internal platforms, supporting safe access and operations on the installed monopiles while avoiding the use of transition pieces. Sif stated that production was planned to start in the first quarter of 2026 and noted the project had previously been in its order book under exclusive negotiations. The contract formed part of the project’s construction supply chain and supported the planned offshore installation campaign and subsequent turbine installation activities for the OranjeWind joint project of RWE and TotalEnergies.
