In March 2026, offshore site preparation at the OranjeWind (Hollandse Kust West VII) project site started, with Jan De Nul’s rock installation vessel Simon Stevin beginning a filter layer/scour protection campaign. The vessel is placing the first loads of rocks on the seabed at designated locations to provide erosion protection and create a stable base for the subsequent installation of 53 monopile foundations and a subsea battery, with this preparatory work expected to be completed in May 2026.
