On 12 September 2023, RWE and Dutch TSO TenneT signed the Connection & Transmission Agreement (CTA) and Realisation Agreement (REA) for the OranjeWind (Hollandse Kust West VII) offshore grid connection, confirming the grid connection terms and how power from the 795 MW wind farm, located 53 kilometres off the Dutch coast, will be delivered to TenneT’s HKW Beta offshore substation and on to the Wijk aan Zee onshore high-voltage substation, with the connection planned to be operational in 2026.
