ProCon was awarded an electrical and instrumentation (E&I) contract by Smulders for the Hollandse Kust West VI (Ecowende) offshore wind farm in the Netherlands. The engagement covers E&I work associated with foundation secondary steel/platform elements, specifically the pre-assembly, outfitting, testing, and cold commissioning activities for the project’s platforms. Under the contract, ProCon’s scope comprises E&I pre-assembly, outfitting, testing, and cold commissioning for 52 suspended internal platforms (SIPs) and 52 external platforms intended for the wind farm’s monopile foundations. The work was planned to be executed at Smulders’ facilities in Hoboken and Balen, Belgium, with activities starting in the first quarter of 2025. This role supports the manufacture and completion of the foundation platform systems that integrate electrical and instrumentation functions prior to offshore deployment. The contract, as reported, relates to the construction phase and aligns with the project build-out of 52 turbine foundations at Hollandse Kust West Site VI, located approximately 53 kilometres off the coast of IJmuiden.
