Van Oord began foundation installation at the Ecowende (Hollandse Kust West VI) offshore wind farm with the installation of the first of 52 monopile foundations on 3 December 2025, using its new installation vessel Boreas and monopiles manufactured by Sif at a site about 53 kilometres off the Dutch coast near IJmuiden.
