In November 2020, the Dutch government published the Environmental Impact Assessment (MER) for the Hollandse Kust (west) wind farm zone, covering kavels VI and VII, mapping environmental effects and site conditions to inform the kavel decisions and subsequent tenders, including the future Ecowende project on kavel VI.
