Jan De Nul Group, as part of a consortium with LS Cable & System contracted by TenneT, completed installation of the two 220 kV AC export cable circuits for the Hollandse Kust Noord offshore grid connection in November 2022. The cables run from the offshore transformer platform via the beach landfall at Heemskerk to the new onshore transformer station near Wijk aan Zee. The 220-kV high-voltage tests of both sea and land cables for Hollandse Kust (noord) were subsequently completed from the onshore substation to the substation 18 kilometres offshore, supporting grid-ready certification at the end of March 2023.
