Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy supplied the wind turbine generators for CrossWind’s 759 MW Hollandse Kust Noord offshore wind farm in the Netherlands. The project comprised a total of 69 Siemens Gamesa SG 11.0-200 DD offshore wind turbines, each rated at 11 MW, installed on monopile foundations approximately 18.5 kilometres off the coast near Egmond aan Zee. In addition to manufacturing and delivering the turbine units for the wind farm, Siemens Gamesa participated in offshore wind turbine installation activities. During the 2023 installation campaign, Siemens Gamesa worked together with Van Oord and used an offshore installation vessel to transport and install the turbines, supporting the build-out through to completion of the full 69-turbine array. Siemens Gamesa was also identified as the turbine operations and maintenance contractor for the project under a long-term service arrangement. The reported scope covered O&M services for a 15-year period, supporting the operational phase following the project’s transition from construction into power generation. These roles collectively positioned Siemens Gamesa as the turbine OEM responsible for supply, installation support, and long-term servicing of the SG 11.0-200 DD fleet at Hollandse Kust Noord.
