On 4 March 2021, CrossWind, the Shell–Eneco joint venture developing the 759 MW Hollandse Kust (noord) offshore wind farm some 18.5 kilometres off Egmond aan Zee, signed grid connection agreements with transmission system operator TenneT. The agreements cover the realisation, connection, and transmission of power between the wind farm and TenneT’s 700 MW offshore platform, formalising Hollandse Kust (noord)’s connection to the Dutch high-voltage grid and setting out liabilities, technical standards, and compliance requirements for construction and operation ahead of the planned 2023 start of operations.
