On 14 July 2023, CrossWind awarded Italian engineering company Rosetti Marino an EPCIC contract for the Baseload Power Hub, a pilot offshore green hydrogen plant to be fully integrated into the Hollandse Kust Noord wind farm. The platform will convert excess wind power into green hydrogen via electrolysis, store it, and reconvert it to electricity with a fuel cell, complemented by battery storage, with offshore construction starting immediately and completion expected by 2025.
