RTE (Réseau de Transport d’Electricité) acted as the transmission system operator interface for the Groix & Belle-Île floating wind pilot grid connection, presenting and progressing the selected connection option (including a dynamic subsea cable concept for floating turbines) and the onshore tie-in to the existing 63 kV Kerhellegant substation (Plouharnel). RTE also led stakeholder engagement (‘concertation’) activities related to routing and landfall considerations (e.g., Kerhillio/Erdeven landfall area) as part of the grid-connection development process.
