MHI Vestas Offshore Wind (now Vestas) was formally selected and contracted to supply three V164-9.5 MW turbines for the Groix & Belle-Île floating pilot wind farm, replacing the previously planned GE Haliade 6 MW machines. The agreement, signed with project company FEFGBI at a ceremony in Paris in early October 2019, increased project capacity from 24 MW to 28.5 MW and enabled developers to progress financing arrangements with ADEME.
