By the public meeting on 13 April 2017, EOLFI had completed a wind resource and energy yield assessment for the Groix & Belle-Île pilot farm using data from a lidar installed at Pointe des Chats on Groix, estimating a capacity factor of around 40–45%, significantly higher than typical onshore and fixed-bottom offshore wind due to stronger, more regular winds further from shore.
