France’s ministerial decision on offshore wind zoning and the RTE Gironde–Loire Atlantique (GiLA) grid planning documents indicate that the 1.2 GW Golfe de Gascogne Sud offshore wind project (AO10 Sud-Atlantique) is planned to reach commissioning and full commercial operation around 2035. The zone is integrated into the AO10 tender and associated 320 kV HVDC grid connection scheme, which is being developed to connect Oléron 2 and Golfe de Gascogne Sud with a first grid axis stage in place before 2035.
