As part of the knowledge studies for the Golfe de Fos offshore floating wind area, Météo-France began metocean measurement campaigns (“campagnes de mesures météo-océaniques”) in spring 2021. These campaigns involve systematic meteorological and oceanographic measurements across the project area to characterise wind, wave, and sea-state conditions needed for designing and developing the Golfe de Fos 2 floating wind farm and its connection. The key dates given for these studies indicate that the metocean measurement programme started in spring 2021 and is planned to run through to summer 2024.
