In 2021, the four planned floating offshore wind projects Narbonnaise 1 & 2 and Golfe de Fos 1 & 2, including the 500 MW Golfe de Fos 2 extension, were subjected to a formal public debate organised by the French Commission Nationale du Débat Public (CNDP). As transmission system operator responsible for the shared grid connection of the 250 MW AO6 park and the future 500 MW AO9 extension, RTE participated in this CNDP-led consultation process covering the projects and their Mediterranean grid connection.
