Geotech Survey Start

As part of the State-led knowledge studies for the Golfe de Fos offshore floating wind area, combined geophysical, unexploded ordnance (UXO) and geotechnical survey campaigns were carried out between December 2022 and July 2023. This timeline indicates that the geotechnical investigations, which characterise the seabed and subsoil conditions needed for future foundation and cable design, commenced in December 2022. These works form a core element of the broader technical and environmental study programme for Golfe de Fos 2, feeding into the project’s early development and impact assessment by providing detailed data on morphology, sediments, and sub-surface structure within the designated zone.
