RG-projecten provided project management services to Gemini for an ad hoc export cable repair campaign associated with the Gemini offshore wind farm (Gemini Buitengaats and ZeeEnergie) off the Dutch coast. The engagement followed the discovery of a cable fault in May 2024 that caused a partial outage and created a high-urgency requirement to restore full operational availability of the 600MW asset. Acting on behalf of Gemini, RG-projecten managed the project preparations and the execution-phase coordination for the export cable repair. The scope described in the source emphasised rapid mobilisation and stakeholder alignment rather than physical repair execution, with RG-projecten coordinating multiple contractors and relevant external parties. This included liaison with Dutch authorities such as Rijkswaterstaat and coordination with insurers, reflecting the permitting, safety and risk-management considerations that typically accompany subsea export cable interventions. According to the source, the cable was returned to service within approximately three months from fault notification, enabling the wind farm to resume normal energy delivery. The role therefore sits in the operations and maintenance phase as a project-controls and delivery-management assignment supporting corrective maintenance on critical transmission infrastructure.
