Omexom provided day-to-day operations and maintenance services for the Gemini Wind Park’s high-voltage substations, using a cross-border delivery model involving teams in Germany and the Netherlands. Omexom stated that its German teams performed the offshore work, taking responsibility for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of Gemini’s offshore substations, while its Dutch teams maintained the onshore substation on the Dutch side. The scope covered maintenance activities on high-voltage installations and associated components, including work on separators, earthing switches and related equipment. Omexom described this as an operational collaboration intended to optimise wind park performance and support reliable power export from the offshore wind farm to the mainland grid. Omexom indicated the collaboration had been in place since the start of 2018, with coordinated work periods such as annual scheduled works where specialists from both countries were active at the same time. The company positioned the engagement as combining Omexom Germany’s offshore expertise with Omexom Netherlands’ experience on high-voltage land installations, supporting the operational phase of the Gemini asset, including the offshore substations and the onshore station at Eemshaven connected to the TenneT high-voltage grid.
