Onshore Construction Start

Onshore construction of the Floatgen floating foundation began at the Port of Saint-Nazaire in 2016, with Bouygues Travaux Publics mobilising around 80 workers to build Ideol’s concrete floater that would later support the 2 MW turbine at the SEM-REV test site off Le Croisic. Project documents describe the construction phase at Saint-Nazaire as running from 2016 to 2017, with physical works scheduled to get underway in September at the harbour.
