In 2012, a consortium comprising EDF (EDF Renewables/EDF power solutions), EIH S.à r.l. (a vehicle jointly owned by Enbridge Inc. and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board/CPP Investments), and Skyborn Renewables (formerly wpd offshore) was formed and awarded the French state tender to develop, construct, and operate the Fécamp offshore wind farm off the Normandy coast, establishing the project’s joint-venture ownership structure.
